What if I tell you that the prince was too full of himself or that the stepmother and stepsisters weren’t the actual villains but the prince himself. Read on to find out.
The prince was handsome but too rich and spoiled . He would take whatever he wanted and never took ‘no’ for an answer. The whole kingdom was scared of him and loathed him but weren’t brave enough to do anything. The ones who did, would be found dead the next day.
He lusted over power, money and women.
Cinderella’s father’s death was not an accident . He died because he refused to give the prince what he wanted and as revenge, the prince took one of his stepdaughters against her will and forced himself on her and left her after satisfying his ego.
The stepmother scared and worried and not being able to do anything, treated Cinderella as a house worker for she knew the prince’s eyes would never go on a poor maid .
Incidents of the prince’s misdeeds were rising by the day. Cinderella was angry and her hunger for revenge and justice grew even more. Then one day the news came that the prince was organising a masquerade ball. Cinderella saw that as an opportunity to seek the revenge she had longed for.
She put on the finest silk gown and some make up, a mask and her glass slippers .
When Cinderella entered the castle, everyone was stunned for no one had a seen a beauty like her. The first time the prince laid eyes on her, he knew he wanted her .
The prince showed his charm and asked the beautiful princess for a dance. Cinderella accepted his proposal and they danced till midnight. The prince then finally asked her to come to a private place with him. Looking at the clock, which had struck 12, Cinderella knew she had to finish her job now. She took off one of her glass slippers, smashed it and stabbed the prince with the broken slipper in the heart.
Cinderella ran away from the palace and surprisingly, nobody followed her.
Hearing about the prince’s death, the whole kingdom rejoiced. Now that the throne was empty, they decided that the one who fits the slipper would be their new ruler. Cinderella’s foot was the perfect fit and the kingdom found their new queen. Since then the kingdom became a better place to live in and out of sympathy for the girls and women who were the victims of the prince’s evil deeds, Cinderella became their fairy godmother.
