Always a win-win at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College
Over a period of 50 years, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College-Delhi university has stood out in distinct academic and professional fields. The college, which was named after the great Indian revolutionary, Shaheed-e-Azam, Sardar Bhagat Singh aims at inculcating his bold and brave values into each student on their campus.
By offering intellectually stimulating academic culture, they try to promote the independence of thoughts and visions. The college is well equipped with technological facilities required to upgrade one’s knowledge and skills so they can survive the most complex business environment one day.
Besides, the college has adequate infrastructure and has acquired postgraduate status in a record time of seven years.
One of the most intriguing parts is that the college functions through a set of associations and societies which provide students ample opportunities to showcase their talent and growth in co-curricular activities. They get to develop and present their talents in various fields such as commerce, finance, art, drama, literature, entrepreneurship, history or sports.
Societies in the college are extremely active and responsive towards organising various events on a regular basis to provide a life to college campus. Various competitions are organised throughout the year, which are usual crowded with students from other colleges as well.
Since the college is an on-campus college precisely situated in south Delhi, you get a perfect atmosphere to chill and enjoy your evenings after college. Select City Walk is truly one of the luxuries of the students at SBSC since it’s just 5 minutes away from the college. The mall offers a variety of food joints as well as shopping spots to the students.
The quality of the crowd at the college is commendably competent. Students come from a number of states bringing diverse cultures and lifestyles under one roof. They are very intelligent, smart and master in their respective fields because they have been carefully chosen out of thousands of applicants through cutthroat cut-offs.
From a DU student perspective, a lot of people will tell you North Campus is better if you want to live in the crowd, and want the campus feel. But if you want quality education, good staff, good peer, and good college life, SBSC is a far better choice. The “Eco” has only one batch every year and is very close knit. Don’t let the crowd pull you away. And also, both KMC and Ramjas are not in the top 10 of Eco.
The moderate teaching methodology assists the students in getting face to face with technology and business world.
In all, it is one of the top B-schools in Delhi University. The administration is very proactive and nimble. You will always find seniors very helpful on the campus. A number of highly reputed companies pay regular visits to college for placements. The lush green beautiful gardens on the campus ensure you are in direct touch with nature, and the icing on the cake is the college canteen. It is vast, and they serve delicious food.
I would personally call it a place of holistic experience and a journey where you wait for the next moment to happen and challenge you!
