Fashion reflects every culture in the world. It was a way to create different social groups and be differentiated according to your status (I am not saying it’s a good thing but it is what it is). Our first clothes existed to protect our body from harm and cold. It slowly turned into an industry – from jewelry to shoes and clothes. We do not wear the same clothes through the centuries so fashion trends have always been a thing. I think people feel overwhelmed when it comes to fashion because it is fast and trends are every time shorter but it is just following our digital world where everything goes faster.

Nowadays, fashion is still a mean or recognition for your status or social group in a way or another. It is a way of self-expression – you can either choose to play with it or let others decide what your outfit tells about you.

We know plenty of women who defiantly reject for a popular trend (“I know it won’t look good on me!” “I can’t pull it off!”) without at least giving it a test run. Just how do you know you can’t wear a bodycon dress if you haven’t tried it? With every year’s new fashion Trends we bid goodbye to previous year’s trends. While we are pretty sure most of you don’t even bother to see what’s trending, there are always some fashion trends you don’t want to leave behind.

Here are the  top 10 fashion trends.

1. Sneakers

Who wouldn’t want to slip their feet in the cushioned, pillowed air of sneakers? Not only are sneakers comfy as all get out, but they can also make any outfit look cooler and unpretentious. Sneakers can be worn at any outfit- Want to go to a party? Pair it up with a bodycon dress. Picnic plans? How about a tank top, cute shorts or mom jeans and a pair of sneakers?

2. High Waisted Jeans

What is better than a high waisted jean? There is something about High Waisted Jeans that are too good to pass up. The fit flatters so many different shapes that it has completely invaded our social media feeds.High waisted Jeans sit tight in the posterior and thigh and will make you look slender, longer and altogether sexier.

3.Denims

“In the right denim, a girl can conquer the world”

It’s safe to say, denim is the fabric that suits everyone. Genderless and versatile, denim is probably the easiest addition to a daytime wardrobe. Forget those reliable jeans and find yourself a truly cool denim jacket to layer under a different sort of outwear.

4.Stripes on Stripes

Stripes might be a classic pattern, but thinking of teaming them with stripes is nothing less than scary! But hey, if you want to be trendy, you need to try out this dreaded trend. Remember when Sonam Kapoor’s sister, Rhea Kapoor sported stripes on stripes pantsuit on a TV show and slew like a boss. Yes! You can slay it too because as Giorgio Armani once said: “Elegance is not standing out, but being remembered.”

5.Poppy Plaid

They were last spotted in the 90s and guess what they are back in 2019. Well, don’t know what poppy plaid is – it’s a simple chequered fabric, made most famous by fashion label Burberry’s signature collection. So, if you plan to go shopping anytime soon, just grab anything plaid or chequered as it’s the biggest trend of the season.

6.Flared Pants

The best thing about flared pants is that, in all of their loose, swishy glory, they feel like pajama pants—but look incalculably more elegant. The exaggerated shape of flares helps you appear dressed up without resorting to a dress, especially valuable in the frigid winter months. Instead of wearing a frock to a  friend’s holiday party, you can choose the warmth of some flare pants. Paired with heeled boots and a swingy top, which will make you look fashionable and sophisticated.

7.Block Heels

Block heels are a great alternative to stilettos and not just for casual wear but for more formal occasions as well. These versatile shoes have been on the must-have list for a while and won’t be on the must-go list any time soon. Like any other heel, they come in a variety of designs and different heights to choose from.
Whether you’re looking for pumps, mules, sandals or mary-janes, you are sure to find a block heel alternative in your favourite style. So give the pointy stilettos (and your ankles and toes) a break.

8. Floor-Touching and Knee-Length Sleeve

Are you tired of wearing boring sleeveless and full-sleeved dresses? Don’t you worry anymore as floor-touching and the knee-length sleeve is your savior? There are different variations like asymmetric, slit and pleated sleeves going below the knee and even those that go to the floor. They create a great option for cocktail or evening parties.

9.Hoop Earrings

When it comes to earrings, hoops get the “trashy” reputation because they’re considered inappropriate, unsubtle, and un-ladylike (or in other words, all the derogatory, made-up words created to put women into boxes). But in reality, hoop earrings are classic accessories that have never actually gone out of style and are just as relevant today as they were in the disco era of the ’60s and ’70s. Hoop earrings will frame your face, yet also make a style statement. So no need to mess with contouring powder next time you’re looking for extra face definition. Just throw on a pair of hoop earrings — the bigger the better — so you can frame your face quickly and easily, without tons of makeup.

10.Bohemian Style

What is this Bohemian frenzy, you ask? The craze first started around the 1950s/19060s by hippie travelers wearing visibly eclectic clothing, taking influence from every land they set their foot in. Bohemian dressing expressed the hippie free-spirited lifestyle back in the day, and then returned after a couple of decades. It has officially taken over runways, red carpets, and even bridal collections (remember Kate Moss’s rehearsal dinner dress?). Dreamcatchers, everything with pom-poms, printed dresses, mystic jewelry with a whimsical mix of rich cultures like Indian, Egyptian, Moroccan, Turkish and parts of South America – boho is everywhere. And, words like “boho-chic’ and ‘boho’ are all from the Bohemian order too. –
