My another home.

College memories are the best, aren’t they? They can make you cry, laugh, smile, frown all at once! How else would our lives be better if it hadn’t been for college? But you know where the best memories are made in a college?

It’s the canteen.

Yes, I am sure just by the mention of this word there’d been a big smile on your face. Or maybe tears, or regret. And that’s exactly what my college canteen does to me. It brings out a pool of emotions. But not even a single person reading this can deny the fact, that the best and the worst memories are created in our college canteens. Whether it be the completion of notes or bunking the lecture just because the teacher was too strict or the subject was too boring.
Our college gave us so much freedom. There were courses that made us believe in our opinion. To think that yes, this is what I’m good at or this is exactly what I was looking for. For me, the best part of college was the library. It was huge and spacious, allowing us to move freely but at the same time, they were quite strict about being silent. But a lot of times students ushered in just to sleep. The library provided us with all the books we could ever need, starting from anthropology to psychology, you name it!

Mithibai College has a huge lobby. There are entrances given at various points. There’s a bakery shop right inside the college! There are around 10 lifts alone on one side of the building that helps students get to their classes quickly.

The college is divided into two sections. One, named as Annex, where the Arts sector is held, and the other where science and economics take place. The classes are huge with two air conditioners provided per classroom. There is a small canteen at the 8th floor also, which the UPG section mostly attends.

Mithibai’s prop festival- Kshitij is celebrated for 2-3 days where huge Bollywood actors and actresses, directors, producers, singers are invited as guests.
The preparation for this humongous and splendid festival takes around 4 to 5 months. This festival especially gives a lot of students new experiences. They learn quite a lot. From managing to organizing. It also gives us a good excuse to find ourselves some new friends.

The fees for Mithibai College is Rs. 18,000. There are separate charges for other itineraries.
So, the best part of my college is actually everything. There are so many emotions and memories linked to it. And perhaps, that’s why it had so much life. Because it is indeed our home. And no matter what, this college will always have a special place in the hearts of thousands of students.
